Circuit of The Americas is a great racetrack. It has a bit of everything: fast corners, slow corners, heavy braking zones and corners where momentum is crucial. You need good balance in the car to be quick here. Austin is a fun city too, so it should be an enjoyable weekend.
The Circuit of the Americas offers a unique race start, with an uphill battle to the formidable Turn One seeing drivers jostle for position three or four cars abreast. This is a fast, technical race with a variety of lines and strategies offering overtaking opportunities to the brave.
We didn’t have much luck with the weather this weekend, which severely limited our running time, but I think the results we gained today were the outcome of good teamwork to set up the power unit and chassis in such a short time. It was a great collaborative effort of the two drivers, pit-work and race strategies.
